Record-breaking: TeichmannGroup delivers 46.5 m long crane bridges made in one piece!

The immense size and length of the crane bridge was of particular importance in this project as it made a transport to Amsterdam challenging. The transport of the crane and its components ex works to the harbor of Königs-Wusterhausen took place on trucks.

Once arrived at the harbor in Königs-Wusterhausen, the crane including all components was transported to Amsterdam by ship. The loading from truck to ship was then carried out with a modernised and completely overhauled second-hand double level jib luffing crane with a carrying capacity of 45 t, delivered earlier this year to Königs-Wusterhausen by the sister company Cranetech.

After an 8-day crossing by ship, our colleagues took over the crane on site and pre-assembled the crane. After this pre-assembly, the crane was lifted by a mobile crane into the terminal which partly lies in water and will fully be completed in June 2017. After the completion of the terminal the crane will be commissioned.

In the future, the BRUNNHUBER crane at the all-weather terminal in Amsterdam will be used for cargo handling –  regardless of weather conditions and 365 days a year.

BRUNNHUBER CRANES GERMANY, headquartered in Augsburg, Berlin and Rostock, produces new cranes for all goods handling and industrial areas.
