44m BRUNNHUBER overhead crane for AIRBUS Augsburg

BRUNNHUBER CRANES has supplied a 44-meter-long double-girder overhead crane for the expansion of the production facilities and the new "Hangar 140" of aircraft manufacturer AIRBUS in Augsburg.

The aircraft manufacturer is currently expanding its capacity in collaboration with ZÜBLIN by constructing a new production hall at the Augsburg site. 

Spanning 9,500 m², the new "Hangar 140" facility will be used to manufacture the side panels for the A320 fuselage. The goal is to increase production of the A320 family to 75 aircraft per month by 2027. Inside the new hall, a new BRUNNHUBER overhead traveling crane (44 m span, 10 t capacity) will handle A321 aircraft fuselages—delivering precision on an XXL scale.
