BRUNNHUBER brings decommissioned jib luffing crane to new life for port of Torgau

In the course of a three-year development and expansion of the port of Torgau with an investment volume of € 18.6 million, BRUNNHUBER CRANES modernized the existing 35t Liebherr jib luffing crane and brought it back to life.

After dismantling the crane, which had previously been shut down, all components of the crane were carefully overhauled and the steelwork of the crane was given a new painting. In addition, the crane received a new electrical installation.

After remounting and commissioning by BRUNNHUBER CRANES, the port of Torgau was reopened in late May 2018 by the prime minister of Saxony, Michael Kretschmer.

By modernizing the port, the port hopes to further expand the environmentally friendly transport of goods by rail and water.
